Mind BLOWN 🤯

Make the time to go watch Brian Entin’s full episode, but until then, here’s an in depth recap.

BREAKING: Former Kohberger defense expert reveals explosive new claims about the Idaho Four investigation

Some of the most startling information to emerge since Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty was shared during a recent interview on Brian Entin Investigates featuring retired homicide investigator and cell phone geolocation expert Sy Ray alongside Steve, Kristi, and Olivia Goncalves. The claims below are Sy Ray’s opinions and conclusions based on his analysis and have not been proven in court.

Ray, who was originally retained by Kohberger’s defense team as a cell phone and geolocation expert, says his analysis ultimately led him to conclude that Bryan Kohberger acted alone and is responsible for the murders of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison “Maddie” Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.

According to Ray, Kohberger had been to 1122 King Road multiple times before the murders, and he believes the available location data places Kohberger inside the residence, including in the living room, on previous occasions. Ray also says he identified repeated “collisions” between Kohberger’s phone and Maddie Mogen’s phone. He described these as instances where both devices appeared in the same location at the same time, creating what he believes was a clear stalking pattern. Ray said the first collision he identified occurred on August 28, 2022, near an apartment complex next to Kohberger’s residence in Pullman, Washington, where Maddie and Kaylee had visited. He claims Kohberger’s phone traveled to that location despite never having done so before or afterward. The other instances when Sy believes Kohberger was inside the King Road residence were periods of “high activity,” possibly during these parties where he could blend in while learning the layout of the home.

Ray believes Maddie Mogen was Kohberger’s intended target. He theorizes that Kohberger entered the home expecting to encounter Maddie alone but was surprised to find Kaylee Goncalves in the same bed. According to Ray’s reconstruction, Kohberger killed both women before Xana Kernodle encountered him, leading him to pursue her into her bedroom where Ethan Chapin was also present. Ray believes those two killings occurred because the suspect believed he had been seen.

Ray also believes Kohberger saw surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen before leaving the home but by the was too physically exhausted and chose to flee instead of attacking again.

One of the most surprising claims involved Kohberger’s escape route. Ray says Kohberger originally intended to return to Pullman using the same route he arrived on but changed course after believing Dylan had seen him and that police could already be responding. According to Ray, Kohberger drove south into unfamiliar rural terrain, became disoriented, stopped to power his phone back on to navigate, and pulled back over for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

Ray says location data shows Kohberger returned to that same location the following day before traveling to the Snake River. Ray’s theory is that Kohberger temporarily hid evidence, including the murder weapon, at the roadside location before retrieving it the next day and disposing of it in the Snake River. He stressed this is his interpretation of the available data.

Ray also claimed investigators discovered an extensive history of extremely violent por’nography on Kohberger’s computer involving victims fighting back, which he believes is relevant to understanding the crime.

The interview also included criticism of Kohberger’s former defense attorney, Anne Taylor. Ray alleged he believes there is a long-term strategy involving future post-conviction proceedings and speculated that ineffective assistance of counsel has been the master plan all along. Those comments reflect Ray’s personal opinions and have not been substantiated in court.

Despite once working for the defense, Ray said he now believes Bryan Kohberger acted entirely alone, carried out all four murders himself, intended to become a serial killer, and, in his opinion, would kill again if ever released. He says that reenactments by the defense team proved this could be done by one person in 5-6 minutes.

These are some of the most significant claims made publicly since Kohberger’s guilty plea. However, many of Ray’s conclusions have not been independently verified, and some have already generated debate among legal observers and followers of the case.
